Monday, August 22nd there will be a short parent meeting for athletes competing in fall sports - volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, and football. As part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the President and Congress created the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides eligible households up to $30/month toward their internet bills, as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.
All households with a child who was approved to receive free or reduced price school meals under the National School Lunch Program or the School Breakfast Program, within the last 12 months are eligible for ACP benefits. Households are also independently eligible if (1) their income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level ($55,500 for a family of four); or (2) a member of the household participates in certain other Federal benefit programs—including, among others, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Medicaid, and Federal Public Housing Assistance.
Families can check their eligibility, sign up, and find fully covered plans at GetInternet.gov (mobile-accessible and available in Spanish) or by calling 877-384-2575.
Junior High Volleyball practice begins next Monday, August 15th. Practice will be from 4:00-5:30pm. Any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in playing please contact Coach Nieters, jnieters@nwmustangs.org, as soon as possible.

Mrs. Jill Gantz was recognized on Wednesday night during an awards ceremony at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark. Mrs. Gantz was chosen to receive the Innovation Award by rootEd Missouri following a
statewide nomination and selection process. RootEd Missouri is a collaborative effort among national organization rootEd Alliance, Ozarks Technical Community College, and the Missouri Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) designed to boost postsecondary outcomes for students in rural communities by placing dedicated advisors, called rootEd advisors, in rural high schools to provide
students with college and career planning support. We are very proud of Mrs. Gantz!!
