Congratulations to all of the FFA members in our chapter! Our chapter has been announced as a 3-star National Chapter! This is the highest award a chapter can receive. This recognition is based upon the National Chapter Application that was developed by our officer team to highlight activities we host. This is a first for us and we are so proud of our students, school district and community. We wouldn't be able to do this without all of those people who support our chapter!

The 1st day of school is Tuesday, August 22nd. Elementary Open House is Thursday, August 17th (see previous post for more info). Orientation for 7th Grade is 6:00 Monday, August 21st in the high school cafeteria. Open House for grades 8-12 is 6:30 Monday, August 21st. Looking forward to great year!

Attached is a flier for a Back to School event Katy Trail is hosting. Katy Trail will be giving immunizations to students who need them. This is for all students; they do not have to be established with Katy Trail. Families need to bring an updated immunization record with them to the event. This would be a great time to get school immunizations before school starts
Any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in Junior High Volleyball should contact Coach Jill Nieters at jnieters@nwmustangs.org. Practices will begin in August.
Per Missouri Statute all school districts in Missouri are required to test all water outlets for the amount of lead in the water by January 1, 2024. The lead testing initial test results and plan are attached. Currently, one of the old, porcelain drinking fountains in the high school hallway (which have not been used for years), the elementary dishwasher hand sprayer and the hand sink in the 2nd grade classroom are non-potable, not for drinking or for washing dishes.
