Shout out to Miss Killion and her 8th graders! They wrote and presented their own non-fiction picture books for our 1st and 2nd graders. They did an amazing job! They also got to do their ceremonial “running of the elementary halls” today since they missed out for Covid their 6th grade year.

The cost to get into all district baseball games is $5.00.

Congrats to all Softball and Baseball Athletes on getting All-Conference and All-District! Also, Coach Mckee was awarded coach of the year in the Kaysinger Conference! All-Conference Baseball: Blaine Kreisel, Pierson Tichenor, Nick Crosswhite, Isaac Nieters, Gavin Killion, Grant Burson, and Lain Tichenor All-Conference Softball: Valerie Meyer, and Olivia Butler All-District Softball Players: Valerie Meyer, Olivia Butler, Maddie Willmuth, Abby Martin, and Zoe Richardson The All-District Baseball team has not been voted on yet.

Northwest is looking for Junior High Basketball coaches for next year, boys and girls. We also need a Junior High Volleyball coach for next year. If interested please contact the athletic director, Anthony Balbirnie, at abalbirnie@nwmustangs.org. You must have at least a substitute teaching certificate and pass a background check.

Today's district softball game has been postponed to Monday, May 9 with a 5:00 pm start time. All district softball games will be played at Sweet Springs High School.
