We are very proud of all our students who exhibited at the Pettis County Jr. Livestock Show! Valerie Meyer won senior beef showmanship. Savannah Townsend was the 2022 Pettis County Queen. Congratulations to Mason Locke, Hunter Arnett, Gabby Meyer and Valerie Meyer on all of their hard work paying off today in the show ring!

Ms. Stilfield has been accepted into the Missouri Mathematics Mastery Program through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Southeast State Missouri University. Congratulations Ms. Stifield!

Congratulations Chase Walbourn! His rabbit received the Grand Champion Buck award and the Reserve in Show award at district competition.

Congratulations Alice Yatskivskaya! Alice has received a $12,000 scholarship through rootEd Alliance and a matching $12,000 scholarship from Central Methodist University - $24,000 worth of scholarships for 4 years for scholarships totaling $96,000!!! What a great financial recognition for Alice's academic achievements. We are proud of you!!

Coaches needed! Northwest still needs a Junior High Volleyball Coach and Junior High Basketball Coaches for this school year. Coaches must have a substitute certificate and pass a background check. Coaches do not have to be teachers. Many thanks to our custodial & maintenance staff! They are working hard on getting our schools ready for August. Their work is very important to a successful school year.

Great News! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Mrs. Weathers our elementary school has been approved to participate in the EMINTS PALS (Prosocial and Active Learning) grant. This grant will provide professional development for our teachers and technology for the grant classrooms. What a great opportunity for our students and teachers!

Bright Flight Scholar Kristen Streck. *Bright Flight is achieved with a qualifying ACT score of 31, which is the top 5% of students in the nation taking the ACT. *Kristen’s composite ACT score of 33 out of 36 put her in the top 2% of students who took the ACT nationally. She also attained a subject area score of 35 out of 36 that put her in the top 1% of students in the nation for that subject area. We are NORTHWEST PROUD!!! That is FANTASTIC. Great Job!!!

A big thank you to Pettis County Fire Department, Hughesville Fire Department, Pettis County Sheriff's Office and Spire gas company for their quick responses this morning to our high school. During construction a main gas line was hit. Everyone present (a few adults) evacuated the building as a precaution. No students were present in the building. All student activities in the building are cancelled for today as gas crews continue to work. Thank you to all involved.

A gas line was hit during some construction at the High School this morning. No cause for alarm if you see a fire truck and police vehicles in the parking lot, all is well.

Not something you see very often... Pierson Tichenor was selected for 1st Team All State in 3 sports this year - football, basketball & baseball. Congratulations Pierson this is awesome!

Pettis Co. R-V School District has openings for bus drivers, route and substitute. Interested individuals must have a Class B CDL with P and S Endorsements or be able to obtain one. The route position has full benefits including paid health insurance, life insurance, and retirement. Just an FYI... Sheriff's deputies will be around during the day tomorrow as one last show of community service and support for the school and our children this school year. Thank you to the Sheriff's department for their continued presence in our schools!
