This morning there is law enforcement activity in Hughesville. Due to this, all students at the high school will remain in the building until the situation is resolved. The building is locked and secured.
Host Families needed in the Pettis County R-V school District. Foreign Exchange Students are wanting to come to Northwest this year or next year, but are needing host families. Pettis County R-V students and parents: In compliance with Missouri Statute RSMo 162.207, students are prohibited from using or displaying electronic personal communication devices (cellphones, smartwatches, earpods, etc.) from the beginning to the end of the school day including instructional time, meal times and time between classes. Violation of this policy shall result in disciplinary consequences consistent with the District’s student code of conduct.
Elementary students will turn their devices into their classroom teacher at the beginning of every day.
Junior High and High School students may keep devices on their person out of sight.
