Pettis Co R-V formally adopted a new Facility Plan in July 2024. This plan is in response to our Continuous School Improvement (CSIP) goal that states we will provide and maintain appropriate facilities and instructional resources for teaching and learning.
Past
Pettis Co R-V School District has two main buildings that were originally constructed in the 1930s. The school district was once: Cartwright, Houstonia R-III, Hughesville R-II, Longwood C-3, and Postal No. 21. None of those entities exist any longer. We are, and have been for over 50 years, Pettis Co. R-V the Northwest Mustangs.
Future
Primarily due to the age of the main buildings and the significant financial cost to maintain and safely operate both Pettis Co R-V locations, the Northwest community will need to make serious decisions on what changes need to be made in the future. The school district will be extending a survey to all patrons asking for your opinions on our facilities and how we should move forward to meet the CSIP goal to provide and maintain appropriate facilities and instructional resources for teaching and learning.

PTO shirts have arrived!
You can pick up the shirts tonight (9/27/24) at the Home Football game. There will be a table near the admission table starting around 7:00PM.

The Pettis County Health Center will offer Flu Vaccines for staff and students on October 16th, 2024. To receive a flu vaccine, you must fill out the attached form and return it to the school nurse by October 9th. If you need a paper copy, please let Nurse Melissa know; she will happily send one home with your student.

Elementary Parents,
Houstonia is under a 48 hour boil order. Please have your elementary students bring a filled bottle of water to school. We will have additional water available for students as needed. Thanks for your help. We are excited to see students in the morning!

If you see an FFA member please congratulate them as our Chapter was named a National 3 Star last week! (This means we are one of the top FFA chapters in the nation). Thank you to you for helping make this happen. Without our staff and community our FFA members would not be able to do all of the things they do!
