Please note the following:
  1. District-wide vision and hearing screenings will be conducted by the school health aide and adult volunteers as needed using the Pure Tone GSI-17 Audiometer, Snellen, Sloan and Lea Eye Charts, and the Random DOT E.  In addition to the grades listed, all transfer students will be screened.

  1. ACT and SAT test registration packets are readily available in the high school counseling office as requested by students, but ACT now recommends that students register online.

  1. Various grade levels or subject areas may be asked to take part in NAEP and MAP field testing.

  1. Testing for the identification of LEP students, K-12, will be conducted on an as needed basis. The

initial screening instrument for placement in the ESL Program will be the WIDA-APT (WIDA

ACCESS Placement Test). During the spring of each year, all students identified as LEP

will participate in the WIDA ACCESS state-wide standardized assessment.

  1. The Missouri Comprehensive Needs Survey will be administered every three years (the last date this survey was given: April 2008) Results are on file in the respective guidance offices.

  1. The Stanford 10 Achievement Test, as well as EOC and  MAP data will be used to indicate 1.) Individual student’s current level of academic functioning; and 2.) Student progress toward meeting the Show-Me Standards.  Disaggregated data from these assessments will also be reviewed annually by the Board of Education and Certificated Staff.

  1. All testing for Special Services will be done on an individual basis per direction of the individual student’s evaluation plan.  Appropriate staff members will be included as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Diagnostic Evaluation Team.  Beginning in 2005-06, MAP-A participants will be identified to DESE in the fall of the school year.
